Delegation of the Day: Italy

Theme: Music

It´s been a hard day, very busy and different from all the others because as delegation of the day we had a lot of things of the camp depended by us and we wanted to be good…

We were so excited since the waking up. We decided to sing “ If you happy and you know..” in Italian because it´s kinda warm up and it´s very popular in Italy, and we felt like actors before a permormance, we were breathing a lot..

The worst part of the day was the cleaning time because we had to clean the bathrooms!!!!

We putted a lot of attention before every meal time in putting the place mates on the tables in right way so all the tables could have always different people and different nations, but it´s been very hard..
We planned a lot of activity for deciding which table would go first to take the food; at breakfast we did a choosing song, “ Ambarabacciccícoccó”, between the tables; for lunch we planned a quiz, questions about our country, history and art..
We have been so happy to see that the questions weren´t so difficult to guess for everybody than we tought…
At dinner we changed and we played a mime game referring of the people in the camp, kids and adults, and everybody had lot of fun, from then on our miming began an institution, lot of times we have seen our figured played again and again talking of that people of the game..

This afternoon it´s been very funny because we did a lot of group dancing all together, the leaders and staff were very into the dancing and it looks like if we were at a party..

In the evening it was Turkey and Mexico national night! They did a lot of tipical dancing with the costumes, they were all so interesting and funny and the kids were so great.. The Turkish boys did some dancing figures very hard and at the end…… La Pignatta!!! A lot of candies! But they were very spicy.. Our mouths were on fire!!!

Anyway it´s been a very great day, we had a lot of fun and we were very happy at the lullabies.. Goodnight..:- *

Delegation of the day: Germany

My four kids and me (from Germany) started the day with waking up everybody by playing the flue, playing german music with the cd-recorder and painting our flag on the childrens cheeks. It really had been a lot of fun to wake them up:)

In the first activity-periode, we played a lot of funny games outside on the soccer field. The theme of the day has been cooperation, so all games were put under this category.
We played a catch-ghost-game and fax-machine. We all have been running a lot:)

Like everyday after lunch, there was the JC-shop and the Siesta-time.

At 14.30 pm all the “Bubble-people” met again in the gym for the second activity-time. There, at first, we wrote a letter in which we thanked Ingeborg, a very nice and only laughing woman from the kitchen-staff, for her work, because it has been her last day in the Bubble-Village.
All of us have been really tired, so the most of us were lying on the floor:)
To wake us up again, the planning group did an energizer. (“Hey Joe”)

After that, we played “Chinese Masters”. This activity was in-and outside and although it was raining, it had been a lot of fun. We all were very excited and happy.
We had to solve some kind of tasks, that had a lot to do with cooperation, like joining hands while walking to the different task-stations.

For dinner, the Ecuadorian delegation had prepared a soup with palm-hearts. Not all the kids liked it
Therefore those who didn`t eat the soup, have been very happy because of the pizza and dessert, that followed.

In the evening Denmark and Ecuador had their national-night. The denish Delegation showed us a fairy-tale named “Simple Simon”, the ecuadorian Delegation danced for us.
Besides we had to build animals with lego, leaded by the denish Delegation and saw a documentation about Ecuador with the Galapagos- Islands.

After Lullabies all of us were very tired, so it had been a great day:)

Thursday 12th july

Goodmorning everybody!

The Danish delegation was in control of the day, and tried to force everyone up- singing a Danish song for kids. It almost worked.
Well after learning how to raise the flag it went pretty well- the theme of today was sports!
So we played ultimate, Burnball & especially “Capture the flag”. This was a great event, that swept everybody away.

Unfortunately we forgot to do the sundance- but we soon will!

Delegation of the Day: Costa Rica

Theme: Water

We woke up at 7:45 am and then went to the kitchen and grabbed some cups and made a lot of noise clashing them.

We had breakfast and sang Happy Birthday to Gaia and Kaya in all the different languages.

We had cleaning time after and then went to activity period 1 and played volleyboll with water balloons and also wet basketball. We had so much fun!!

Then we had lunch and siesta time.

We went to activity period 2 and played the Assembly Line. We needed to get water from the fiords and fill in a bucket. It started raining so we stopped the game. Group C won!

Shower time was next and dinner afterwards.

We had delegation time and practiced our typical dances.

During activity period 3 we played the Winking game and also did a lot of energizers and short games.

We went for a snack and then went to the Lullabies room and sang some beautiful songs as: Time of your life, American pie, Leaving on a Jet Plane and Can you feel the love tonight.

Delegation of the day: Brazil

Theme: Colors

We woke everyone up with a brazilian song called “Mais que nada” and then everyone went up to the flag for the good mornings. Bruno V. raised the flag and after that breakfast was served in the dining hall and we decided to do a quiz with questions about Brazil to find out who was going to get food first, we served cereal, bread, cheese, orange juice, milk, jam and in the end of the meal we sang the kiitos song.

For the cleaning time we had to clean the hallway and the bathrooms along with the JCs and just after that we went to the activity I of the day which was held in the gym and we had to do our own placing mats.

It is lunch time now, we had to set up the table for the meal and they served pancakes with jam or cheese, there was no JC shop today so we just had a longer siesta time and we started to trade things with the other delegations.

In activity II we had the cross the river game using our shoes and flip flops, it was a big cooperation game and we had a lot of fun! Then we went to the gym for a big twister game.

Shower time was just after the activity and dinner was served just after that. We had a very yummy fish for dinner with vegetables and rice.

In activity III we had to sit in delegations and draw the map of our own delegation and after that we had to paste the flag in a big map where all the countries that are participating of the village were drawn and talk a little bit about our country.

To finish the day we had some sort of sweet bread for snack and after that we went for flag time and then we sang the lullabies just before going to bed.

It was a very nice day thanks to all the leaders, staff and JCs.

Monday 9th of July

Delegation of the day: The BubbleStaff

Theme: Names!

The first day of camp, always exciting! Most of the kids where already awake and dressed when we came to wake them up, and after waking up the leaders (which took a little more time) we had flag time. The breakfast was typical Norwegian, a lot of bread with butter and jam, but it didn’t stop us from eating and soon the first cleaning group was starting to mop the floors and clean the toilets. After that it was time for the first activity to start, and a very excited gang of bough leaders, kids and staff found their way to the gym. Here we started to present us with our name and a thing that started on the same letter as the first in our name, this made it really fun and we had a lot of creative things like Ricky the Rock and …….. And the activity went on in the same direction, a lot of name games and a lot of fun. And these kids were not shy, after the Bingo namegame everybody had talked to everybody and they were already making a lot of new friends. After the exciting day, we all got ready for bed and changed to our pj’s. And had a worthy end of the day, with a nice and cosy lullaby.
